Faridkot Road Tragedy: Government Bus Collides with Bullet Motorcycle, One Youth Dead, Another Critical

In a tragic Faridkot road accident, an 18-year-old youth, Ramandeep Singh, died instantly when a government bus collided with his Bullet motorcycle. His companion, Manraj Singh (18), is critically injured and receiving treatment at AIIMS Bathinda. Authorities have filed a case against the bus driver, who remains at large as investigations continue.

Faridkot, Punjab – A horrific road accident on Monday afternoon in Faridkot district claimed the life of an 18-year-old youth and left another critically injured after a speeding government bus collided with their Bullet motorcycle. The deceased has been identified as Ramandeep Singh, a resident of Machaki Mall Singh village. His co-rider, Manraj Singh (18), from Dhimaanwali village, is currently fighting for his life at AIIMS Bathinda.

According to police reports, the tragic incident occurred on the railway overbridge along the Kotkapura-Sri Muktsar Sahib Road. Ramandeep and Manraj were returning to their village from Kotkapura when a fast-moving government bus struck their motorcycle from behind, reportedly crushing them before driving away. Both youths fell to the ground, sustaining severe injuries.

Onlookers rushed the critically wounded teenagers to a civil hospital in Kotkapura. Unfortunately, doctors there declared Ramandeep Singh brought dead. Recognizing the severity of Manraj Singh’s condition, he was immediately referred to AIIMS Bathinda for specialized medical care, where he remains under treatment.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Sukhdev Singh confirmed that police promptly arrived at the scene, seizing both vehicles. A case has been registered against the bus driver, identified as Swarn Singh of Sarainaga village. Authorities have launched an intensive search operation for the driver, who is currently absconding. The investigation into the full circumstances of the accident is ongoing.
