Bihar Board Extends Inter Exam 2026 Application Deadline, Boosts School Music Programs

The final date for online fee payment is set for October 21st. This decision, aimed at ensuring maximum student convenience, specifically applies to candidates appearing for their 12th-grade board exams in 2026.

Prospective examinees are reminded that a signed declaration form from parents/guardians or institution heads, along with a dummy registration card, must be uploaded to the official website (`seniorsecondary.biharboardonline.com`). Non-compliance will result in the denial of application submission and subsequent exam participation. The Board has also assured that students who successfully pay the fee but encounter issues in submitting their application will be granted a further opportunity to complete the process online.

In a parallel development showcasing a commitment to holistic education, the Bihar Education Department is rolling out a significant cultural initiative. Over 4,000 government schools across the state, including more than 70 in the Bhagalpur district, will establish dedicated band teams. This program seeks to emulate private school practices, equipping each 21-member student team with 13 diverse instruments, ranging from drums to flutes. Specially trained nodal teachers will guide these young musicians, aiming to cultivate discipline, teamwork, and rhythmic ability. These teams are expected to enrich school life by participating in cultural events and awareness rallies, contributing to students’ overall development.
