Kurukshetra Visa Fraud: Woman Defrauded of ₹11 Lakh, Faces 10-Year UK Entry Ban Due to Agent’s Deception

By Oct 22, 2025

A Kurukshetra woman, aspiring to join her husband in the UK, was allegedly defrauded of ₹11 lakh by a visa agent. The agent used fake loan documents to secure her visa rejection and a subsequent 10-year travel ban by the UK Embassy. Police have registered a case against the accused, Mohit, and initiated an investigation into the elaborate scam.

A woman from Kurukshetra found her dreams of reuniting with her husband in the United Kingdom shattered after she was allegedly swindled out of ₹11 lakh by a fraudulent visa agent. The elaborate scheme not only cost her a substantial sum but also resulted in a decade-long ban from entering the UK, a direct consequence of the agent’s deceptive practices involving forged documents.

The victim, Komal Saini of Ajrani village, had sought a UK visa to join her husband, Vishal Saini, who resides in England. In early 2021, Vishal contacted a visa agent named Mohit, who confidently assured them of a swift visa approval and deferred payment. Trusting Mohit, Komal’s husband promptly forwarded all necessary documents via WhatsApp.

Over time, Mohit reportedly extracted approximately ₹8 lakh through bank transfers and an additional ₹3 lakh in cash from the couple. Adding to the deception, Komal was instructed to open a new bank account and acquire a new SIM card, the kits for which were then retained by the agent, effectively giving him control over her financial and communication channels.

When Komal’s visa application was ultimately rejected, Mohit refused to provide the rejection letter. Undeterred, Komal independently procured details from the UK Embassy, which exposed the agent’s deceit: Mohit had submitted fabricated loan documents under her name, leading to the application’s rejection and the severe 10-year entry ban. Unaware of any such loan, Komal immediately reported the incident. The police have since registered an FIR against Mohit at Thana City Thanesar and are actively investigating the case, assuring that the accused will soon be apprehended.
