From Tuesday morning, October 21st, devotees will throng to temples and pandals to receive blessings. Women will perform the traditional ‘khoincha’ ritual, praying for prosperity and well-being, while some communities will offer ‘bali’ as an act of devotion.
Across Bhagalpur, preparations are in full swing, transforming the city and its rural outskirts into a spectacle of devotion. Temples are adorned with vibrant flowers and dazzling lights, while grand pandals eagerly await the arrival of the Devi.
Among the key attractions, Parbatti’s ancient Budhiya Kali Mandir will host its Nisha Puja at midnight. A grand fair will follow on Tuesday, culminating in a magnificent immersion procession and collective Maha Aarti on October 22nd. Meanwhile, the Ishakchak Budhiya Kali Mandir has recreated Kolkata’s famed Tarapith temple, featuring a stunning 60-foot pandal and a divine seven-foot idol.
