Hathras: Fireworks Dispute Escalates into Violent Village Clash, Two Injured

A dispute over fireworks escalated into a violent clash late Tuesday night in Salempur village, Hathras. The confrontation involved sticks and stone-pelting, leaving two youths injured, one critically. Police swiftly intervened, controlling the situation and detaining several individuals. Forces are now deployed to maintain peace as authorities investigate the incident.

Hathras, Uttar Pradesh – A dispute over fireworks escalated into a violent clash late Tuesday night in Salempur village, within the Sadabad area of Hathras district. The confrontation, involving sticks, lathis, and stone-pelting, left two youths injured, one of whom is in critical condition.

According to reports, the altercation began over a minor disagreement concerning fireworks between two groups in the village. What started as a verbal spat quickly spiraled into a physical confrontation. The intensity of the brawl led to injuries for Sunil Kumar, who sustained serious wounds and was subsequently referred to Agra for specialized medical treatment after receiving initial care at a community health center. Another individual, identified as Vishnu, also suffered injuries in the incident.

Upon receiving news of the escalating violence, a significant police contingent was immediately dispatched to Salempur village. Law enforcement officers promptly intervened, bringing the chaotic situation under control and restoring peace. Several individuals believed to be involved in the fracas were taken into custody for questioning.

Station House Officer (SHO) Yogesh Kumar confirmed the deployment of additional police forces in the village to maintain law and order and prevent any further untoward incidents. He stated that a thorough investigation into the matter is underway, and appropriate legal action will be taken against all those found responsible for the violence. The village remains under heightened police surveillance to ensure sustained peace and security.
